“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17:20
Dear Friends and Family,
Two years ago, I was at my lowest, crying out for a miracle. I asked God to heal me—not physically, but spiritually. I never believed He could use someone broken like me for His kingdom. Yet, God took my brokenness and turned it into a masterpiece. He just needed me to have a little faith for Him to work .

Faith can be a struggle for many of us. Trusting God when things seem hopeless is challenging. I want to share that over the past few months, I’ve been learning to trust God fully, which has been a significant challenge in my personal life and ministry. However, there is no greater reward than seeing God glorified through our lives. During this time, I have grown in my faith despite difficult circumstances. I have many stories of how God been moving in my life to grow more in my faith, but these are the ones that stand out to me.

I had the chance to help build a house for a family. Although I was just there to take pictures, I couldn’t resist helping out. I put my camera down and started painting. This experience brought me closer to God. While working, I met Lidia, an older lady who let us use her bathroom. The day before, we had invited people to an outreach in the park. We were tired from the heat and walking, but then we saw a woman carrying groceries. Despite my fear of rejection, I invited her, and it turned out to be Lidia. If I hadn’t had faith, I would have missed this blessing. I built a friendship with her and shared the gospel, even though she didn’t accept it right away. I believe God is still working in her life. Please pray for Lidia so that the Lord can touch her heart.

On another occasion, I translated for a Canadian team on their first mission trip to Mexico. I was nervous since I hadn’t translated in months and it was my first day off in a long time. When the pastor asked for my help, I agreed despite my fears. As I prepared, the leader asked if I needed anything, but I just wanted to know their plans. He said they were unprepared and only had willing people. This made me anxious, but I remembered my past outreach experiences and suggested a plan. He agreed, and we organized an outreach in less than an hour. We shared the gospel, played games, and danced. With God’s guidance, many children accepted Him. After the event, the leader shared he was nervous since it was his first time leading and he struggled with the language. He had faith that God would help them, and I was grateful to assist him and the team. God had a purpose for bringing me there that day, even if I hadn’t realized it at the time.

On the other hand, I had a difficult time with my biological mother. As you know I was adopted and didn’t grow up with her. We hadn’t heard from her in over four years, but last month we heard that she was in critical condition in the hospital. When I found out, I prayed for a chance to see her. God tested my faith. Despite my pain, I was thankful for the opportunity to visit her and share the gospel, even after being rejected . God has been faithful and kept her alive. Although I don’t know her well, this experience has helped me grow in my faith. It’s been painful, but I feel peace because I shared what God has commanded me to do. I praise the Lord for that. Please pray for Alma (my mom) that the Lord will reach and heal her heart.

Lastly, I went on my first mission trip. I didn’t have enough money to go, but when I said, “YES Lord, I will go,” I saw His provision. We visited “Calvary Chapel Connexions” in Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala, to help with their first Christian youth camp, hosting over 100 people, many of whom had never attended a camp or heard the gospel. Thirty youths returned to the Lord, and five accepted Him for the first time. The Lord worked in their lives during the camp. I was the official photographer and shared my testimony with some youths, which was a blessing. One young lady, Estefi, was serving at a big event for the first time, and I encouraged her, prayed for her, and shared some leadership tips. After the camp, she told me she felt emotionally unwell, but God used me to remind her that He has a big plan for her life.

All glory to the Lord. I am just an instrument for His Kingdom. Nothing is impossible for Him. This is also a result of your faithfulness. This could not have happened without God, your prayers, and support. So I encourage you to embrace faith over everything.
Please, keep me in your prayers. As I am still leading teams, taking lots of pictures, taking care of Connections House when needed, encouraging the youth, and continuing to be obedient to what the Lord wants me to do. Thank you for taking the time to read this update and for joining in on the work that God has called me to do!
With love and blessings, Yesenia (Yesi)
